We can also see it staying this way for the foreseeable future. Working from home comes with many benefits. It is flexible, saves time and energy on commuting and saves you money.

One of the best things about working from home is unlimited creativity on how you want to set up your space. We will discuss on how you can revamp your work space to improve your productivity when working from home.

Set up a dedicated space

Separate your workspace with other agenda. You would want to set up a space that is used for work. Ideally, having a separate study room where you can place a desk and a computer where you can be on your own without distractions. However, most people do not have an additional space. In such scenario, set up a desk in your home that you’re comfortable working at without distraction.

Clean up your space

Keeping your space clean and tidy will result in a better work environment. This will help to boost productivity while working and improve your work performance. Using file organisers and labels on folders. When keeping documents that relate to different projects, it’s helpful to create a filing system that makes sense to you — whether that means organizing by date or by project name. You should also label each folder so you know what’s inside without having to open it up first; this will help keep things nice and tidy at all times. If you decide to use file organizers, be sure they’re sturdy enough not to topple over when papers are added or removed from them!

Switching up furniture

You may have the same furniture over the two years you’re working from home and do not feel as motivated while working. Consider upgrading your workspace! Consider upgrading your desk to a standing desk. This will improve your energy and productivity levels. Standing desk comes with lots of healthy benefits, from better posture, burning calories and staying active, it provides a better alternative than a conventional desk.

Make sure the chair is comfortable enough for long hours at the computer station. However, if your study room does not have enough natural lighting, light up your room with artificial lighting. Ceiling lights are ideal. Position the lights in a way where it is not in field or view or reflects your monitor. For example, placing a lamp right next to your monitor will end up in really bad glare.

Add plants to your room

Adding greenery to your room comes with many benefits. From boosting productivity and mood to beat the cabin fever. Plants bring life into the room by improving the air quality , reduce stress and illness. Look at the surrounding of your room to choose the ideal plant. Pick a smaller plan like a cactus or terrariums if space are limited. Alternatively, if you have more space, consider yucca or parlour palm.
